Production of Al and alloy coils and sheets
This Project evaluates integrated production, up to 200.000 T/year of Al and alloy coils and/or sheets with finishing thicknesses between 0,25 and 2 mm, in several widths, raw material being 205.000 T/year of cast metal and 55.000 T/year of scraps from different productive processes and from aluminium recovered from slags.
New “green field” plant would have a capacity of melting/maintenance and casting of 15 T/h to feed a chain casting which in turn will feed a 3 stand continuous hot rolling mill which will produce coils with a thickness between 6 and 1,40 mm. These coils will be later cold rolled, some of them tension levelled and at least occasionally length cut or slit.
According to these baseline data we have carried out Plant Engineering by means of a detailed “lay out” prioritizing an accurate analysis of all effluents and pollutants, as well as its collection and treatment.
